INSLAW strikes again
Article about the computers seized at AIPAC for investigation by the FBI.
It actually makes refernce to the INSLAW case and the PROMIS software.
To use an acronym from a mailing list, JFGI, Just Fucking Google It, if you don't know what INSLAW or PROMIS are. Google Danny Cassolaro while you're at it.
Turns out that the same backdoor which was intended to give the U.S. government and the CIA access to every computer using this database software might have been used by...Al Qaeda!....to monitor the CIA and U.S. intelligence in general.
So INSLAW strikes again...
I could say something pithy about the fact that you can't create something powerful with a huge potential for abuse and reasonably expect it not to get out of control, but I won't.
