If the State is the executive arm of the capitalists doesn't that mean...

That in a revolutionary situation both the capitalists and the State should be fought against at the same time? The goal is to defeat capitalism, so the idea present in some revolutionary theories that first you should defeat the State and then move on to fighting directly against capitalism seems to be not something that makes total sense. If the functions of the State can't be completely separated from the functioning of capitalism then simply fighting against the State and destroying it without complementary action against business and against capitalism in general overlooks to some extent where the ultimate power comes from. Some sort of dual action....
